Our Story

In the early 1990s, founder Patti Leith was a 30-year-old female executive directing human resources for 70,000 employees in 450 locations. Every single day, she saw clearly that business thrived only when teams worked well together and individuals found more purpose in their work.

When a surgery pulled her out of the office for a few weeks, she worked on a business plan for EDGES™, Inc. She would wait almost 10 years to start, because she knew she needed to learn more about organizations, leadership and people before moving forward. In 2001, Patti started the journey, never imagining the depth of learning, and success she would experience.

 

When Patti married Ken, he was considering a career change. they both realized that if he joined the company, he would bring a complementary set of skills, a background in operations, service, and quality with a strong focus on process. Patti and Ken’s shared expertise in strategy and planning also offered a compelling total business approach to helping teams plan for growth.

This meant-to-be partnership has enabled EDGES™ to build and lead a team that enables growth comprehensively in all areas of an organization. Most importantly, their years of client engagement have facilitated both rewarding impact and meaningful business relationships.

Patti

Patti Leith, CEO

Patti has dedicated her entire career to building inclusive workplace cultures. She is energetic about equality and cares greatly about enabling collaborative teams. Her life’s work has been to teach people how to judge less and include more.

With corporate leadership experience at Sheraton, Food Lion, and Walmart/Sam’s Club, she has held positions in Operations, Human Resources, Organizational Development and Strategy. During her tenure at Food Lion, she started and led their diversity effort to foster equal opportunities for women and people of color. In addition to founding EDGES™ in 2001, Patti and her husband Ken started e-Gauge™, Inc., a software solutions company. In 2017, they founded Unform Your Bias™, a 501(c)3 with the mission to offer tools and experiences that compel people to reduce the amount of bias in the world.

Patti has authored several articles, white papers, and two books. She is the creator of the Inter Face Methods Learning eXcelerator™, a compelling tool to build tolerance, collaboration and inclusion, and in 2012, she published Judge Not: A Guide to Influence People Who Think Differently.

 

Ken Leah

Ken Leith, Managing Partner

CEO, (e)Gauge, Inc. and Managing Partner, EDGES, Inc.™

During Ken’s professional career, he held Executive level positions with Ryland Homes, MI Homes, and Brookfield Homes in Customer Service, Quality and Production.  He has excelled as a leader in Executive Coaching, Business Management, Strategic Planning, Quality Management, and Process Efficiency. He has consistently led successful conversions of underperforming teams into top producers.

In 2009, Ken co-founded (e)Gauge, Inc., a SAAS software company offering tools designed to align organizations’ resources to ensure goal achievement.  Along with Patti, he is a Co-Founder of the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Unform Your Bias™, which started in 2017.

He and Patti are co-authors of Food Safety – A Roadmap to Success.   

Ken’s work focuses on helping organizations build metrics and ensuring a productive culture, which have enabled the companies he has led and coached to achieve solid increases in revenue while also enhancing profitability. He has comprehensive experience in architecting winning teams to create, measure, and maximize efficiency.
